January 2015, in the Donbas. Pasha teaches at a school and has lived an ordinary routine between the staff room and his bedroom, trying to keep the war at a distance. Now he watches the front line move steadily closer to his home, until circumstances force him to cross it and then come back again. To do so he must at least decide on whose side his home lies, and the journey confronts him with many more questions than that one.
