Privacy policy
Datenschutzerklärung
This site does not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. It does not ask you to log in and has no forms. Below is all the personal data it handles.
Who is responsible
Stefan Waldhauser, contact details in the Impressum.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on Railway (Railway Corp., USA). When you open a page, your browser sends your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser's name. Railway records this in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure, and deletes the logs after a short time.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running a secure website. Railway processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Because Railway is a US company, the agreement includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). See Railway's privacy policy.
Fonts, covers and maps
Fonts, book covers and the globe's map are served from this site itself. Your browser does not contact any other server to show them.
Theme setting
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. This needs no consent, as it only stores something you asked for (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it in your browser's settings.
Amazon affiliate links
Links marked with an asterisk (*) lead to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Nothing is sent to Amazon until you click such a link. When you do, Amazon learns that you came from this site and stores a cookie on its own site to credit any purchase to it. Amazon is responsible for that; see Amazon's privacy notice.
If you write to me, I use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To use them, write to the address in the Impressum. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live (Art. 77 GDPR).
