A Vida Futura

Told that their novels will be rewritten so more people read them, the dead writers José de Alencar and Machado de Assis leave Olympus for Rio de Janeiro in 2020. There the pair, Jota and Jota, get tangled up with militias, meet a puzzling, charming young student and find themselves in the middle of today's arguments over identity, playing out their adventures as a comic double act.
