1974: a Tampere university student is quietly enlisted to inform on old school friends, their private lives and their politics. At first he enjoys belonging to a larger cause. But hiding what he knows makes closeness hard, the task swallows the hours he had for genuine friends, and the honour slowly turns into a trap, through the years of Finlandization and into the slump.
