A young man lands a job assisting Niki, a famous photographer he has long admired. She is a year younger than he is, barks orders at him all day and runs his life on and off the set, yet he falls for her, and the two begin seeing each other. Away from the studio he meets another Niki, awkward and unsure in love, while the gap in standing between them never goes away.
