Renegater

In the first novel of the series, the worldly Henry Morgan lived in a huge inherited flat on Hornsgatan in Stockholm, then vanished; the second explained his disappearance. In this concluding volume it is the busy spring of 2018. The narrator of the earlier books, now living on a farm in Österlen, sees a far-off figure crossing the fields. It is Morgan, making a pilgrimage through Europe from Vienna towards Lapland to find his son, and his visit sets events in motion. The long novel turns into a portrait of Sweden today.
