A man who has never had any luck with women at last meets one who loves him as he loves her, and they move in together. But he has always had a foul mouth and quick fists, and the relationship becomes a standoff that could blow up at any time. Their running battles over money, told in a fierce voice that can turn funny, make up the title story. A second piece revolves around a toy dog the woman adores.
