At a company office in Saitama, Ashikawa is delicate and often leaves early, and everyone shields her. To make amends she bakes and brings in treats for her colleagues. Nitani, who sees eating as a chore, begins dating her and comes to resent the good home cooking she presses on him, while forcing down her cakes at work. Oshio is conscientious and keeps paying for it, and she has had enough of Ashikawa's weakness. She asks Nitani to join her in being a little cruel to Ashikawa, and through food the hidden tensions of office life come into view.
