The Angolan reporter Daniel Benchimol sees people in his sleep whom he has never met. Moira Fernandes, an artist from Mozambique who lives in Cape Town, recreates her dreams and photographs them; the Brazilian brain researcher Hélio de Castro has found a way to film them; and Hossi Kaley, a former guerrilla turned hotel owner whose past is dark and bloody, is tied to dreaming in an even stranger way. Dreams bring all four together in a land ruled by an authoritarian regime on the point of falling apart, in a satirical political fable about reality and the power of dreaming to change it.
