DTOPIA

A new season of the dating reality show DTOPIA is being filmed on Bora Bora, where ten men, known only as Mr LA, Mr London and so on, compete for Miss Universe. From this glossy, ironic set-up several stories branch out and intertwine. In a cool, cutting voice, the novel turns the show's games into a look at violence and at the boxes of race and sexuality people are sorted into, with capitalism, colonialism and today's wars close by.
