Kruhová leč

Thirteen stories in which scraps of history meet the present day, episodes from the lives of famous people sit beside the hopes and dreams of ordinary ones, and fantastic events break into everyday surroundings. The narrator constantly changes costumes, masks and points of view, and behind the masks one hears a grotesque, tragic and ironic cry, a sigh and a sly laugh. Packed with literary allusions and cleverly constructed plots, the stories keep asking whether everything is really otherwise, or whether the story being told is the only reality there is.
