Five short stories about care, and about the fragile ties between people, in moments of vulnerability: love and neglect, small and large crises that shape a person. A child’s view of the world runs through several of them. One is about meeting a first lover, another about being clairvoyant and seeing signs, another about finding out that you are exactly like Janis Joplin. There is fate, glow-worms and card games, and love for a hamster named Mrs Berg.
