A move from central Reykjavík to a small town has not solved Eva and Matti's problems, which only grow. Eva finds a friend in Ljúba, a Russian-speaking woman who grows vegetables and tells her the colourful story of herself and her family. The two women's lives mirror each other, and their friendship changes both, in a warm novel about women's lives, men and women, fate, closeness and dreams.
