Marko Đorđić is a teenager whose parents came from Bosnia to build a better life in Slovenia, and he lives with them on Fužine, a crowded Ljubljana housing estate where flats smell of sarma and folk music sets the rhythm. He trains basketball, attends a vocational school and spends his time with his friends Adi, Aco and Dejan on the benches in front of the block, drinking, smoking and watching football. His parents quarrel every Sunday; his father, proud of his only son, comes to every game and is sure Marko will become a professional player. Marko tells his story in the slang of the estate, with bittersweet humour about identity, parents and prejudice, until he quits basketball and does not know how to tell his father.
