A sick woman lies in hospital, yet in her imagination she wanders the city's streets without clothes, talking all the while to someone who is not there. Watching the vanity of the people around her, she recalls what she has lost and her friendship with a writer who has died, and sees her own suffering in that of Antigone. She is a woman who no longer expects anything from life.
