O Estranho no Corredor

Outwardly nothing happens to him: a few lessons at a modest English school, a diary filled with scenes from his boyhood, a handful of acquaintances. Inside, though, he is wound tight, and when a sinister man begins to shadow him through town the pressure becomes unbearable. Told from very close to his troubled mind, the novella moves like a noir film with something of Kafka in it.
