Sakuma left the Self-Defence Forces and now earns his living as a bicycle courier, racing across Tokyo every day. He has wanted for as long as he can remember to get far away, and cannot see why fits of rage keep bursting out of him. The city seems open to view, yet whatever lies behind its cardboard front stays out of his reach.
