Flame in the Snow

Days after they meet in April 1963, a poet of twenty-nine wires a fellow writer, a year younger, with thanks for his flowers and letter. Over 200 letters follow, the last in April 1965, and they stay unpublished for fifty years. Alongside the love, he begs her not to harm herself and urges her to keep writing; she mocks the stuffy title he has chosen for a novel; and they wonder how long the affair can stay hidden from friends.
