Đorđe Uzelac, a thirty-year-old dandy who used to trade in branded clothes, was mobilised and sent to Kosovo during the war of 1999. Back in his home town afterwards, he tries to begin again, but quickly realises that people and the system are as immoral in peace as in war. He decides to drop everything and leave the country, only to meet obstacles he had not counted on and to live through a series of absurd episodes, from a friendship with a psychiatrist who distils brandy from oranges to a seven-day sex festival. Set between 8 May 1999 and 5 October 2000, it closes a trilogy about a lost generation trying to be free in an unfree country.
