Reflux

A student of African literature comes home to a small Slovak town and meets her family and childhood friends again: her brother, a manager at a car plant; her sister on maternity leave; Milan, a builder who looks Indian; Erik, a favourite classmate with a Nazi eagle tattooed on his head; her mother, who believes Western universities turn students against their own families; and her grandmother, who survived deportation to a camp in Russia but no longer remembers much. Someone foreign is in the house.
