Pacijent iz sobe 19

Vanja Kovačević, the patient in room 19, was sent to war on his nineteenth birthday. Twenty-five years after he first picked up a rifle, he sits before a psychiatrist to explain why he has done something unthinkable to himself. His monologue covers almost everything: childhood and growing up, the war, fatherhood and killing. The only link between who he was and who he is now are the songs of his favourite band, the Sisters of Mercy, while scenes from the war bleed into its aftermath for him and for society.
