Een man een man

Eden Pendraat, who sells fine handmade footwear, spends a day drifting around Amsterdam in the belief that he has stabbed and killed Duco 'Duuk' Hellenberg, his closest friend. Overnight he has become a fugitive, though no hardened criminal: the blow was the only way out of a bond he could no longer bear. In the genteel south of the city, among dealers and forgers of paintings, two men so unlike each other that each envies the other's nature play out an old story of fraternal rivalry.
