Dísusaga

Dísa's narrative is a first book long delayed. Violence at the age of ten sealed her into decades of silence and concealment, and the man who has held sway over her life now lets her write, for two months only. She addresses a letter to the man she has always loved, wondering whether she can be truthful, and writes it in Norðurfjörður in the far north-west, where the mountains, the sea and the local café steady her as the memories come.
