Denise is barely coping. She works at a discount supermarket, her little daughter Linda often overwhelms her, and the long-dreamed-of trip to New York remains a dream. She hopes the fee for a porn shoot will finally get her somewhere, but she is kept waiting for her money. More and more often, Anton stands at her till: a former law student who has fallen hard, deep in debt and sleeping in a hostel. Cautiously, the two come closer. But as Anton's court date over 3000 euros approaches, they have to ask how much closeness their lives really allow.
