It began in the canteen at her art college and has happened again and again since: a man catches her eye, her heart races, and she just knows he is the one she will marry. He never is. Afraid of becoming a single woman who lives on fantasies, she swears off these flashes of certainty, but the vow barely holds before Ken, from her English lessons, sets her off once more.
