Winterhanden

Every one of these six stories centres on a male figure, young or grown, who never manages to assert himself with those around him. A pupil's class presentation on stamps slips out of control; a student dreads ending things with the woman he is dating; a boy and his grandfather grope towards friendship; classmates mock a teenager as 'macho'; and a man is unsure about the funeral of a father absent for two decades.
