Τα πρωτοβρόχια

Tasos grows up in a working-class neighbourhood of a provincial town at the end of the 1970s and the start of the 1980s, a time of transition for Greek society. In his own telling the mood of the era comes alive, as far as he can grasp it, along with the web of family relations, sometimes a safety net, sometimes a stifling spider's web. Alongside the main plot, which unfolds in short self-contained episodes, the reader pieces together from his grandmother's account a story that burdens the family's past and still darkens its present.
