By 1960 Spain is shaking off the postwar gloom and discovering shopping, TV advertising and glamorous summer nights. In Barcelona, four lives meet: an unhappy, beautiful society lady, an advertising executive running a radio programme to find lost people, a businessman with friends in government, and a young man from northern Spain trying to learn where he comes from.
