Enero and El Negro take Tilo, teenage son of their dead friend Eusebio, fishing. As they drink, cook, chat and dance, ghosts of past and present blur in the wine-heavy heat, and islanders, river, darkness, fish and insects tangle the real and the dreamed in a story of love among mothers, sons, brothers and lovers.
