Nachtouders

Saskia and Juli have a little boy, Saul, but it was Juli who gave birth, and Saskia grew up in a household where love from parents always came with strings. Doubting whether she can love the child enough, or even call herself his mother, she travels with Juli and the baby to Saul's donor father, who lives among hippies on an island near the coast of Canada. Theatrical exchanges alternate with thoughts on parenthood, the couple, ancestry and the craft of writing, while in the background extremist parties gain votes and huge French crowds march against equal marriage.
