Maïsroest

Dito Keep receives word in spring 1899 that Gerben, his elder brother, has been murdered in Bohemia, where he had gone to work the harvest. Dito never cared for him. Working nights on a newspaper years afterwards, he recalls his own youth, when he dreamed of painting and studied in Heeze, and invents a gentler version of Gerben's last days in an attempt to love him after all.
