Remembering and forgetting link the pieces of this playful, philosophical book: former lovers writing to each other, an odd suburban car journey in Reykjavík, a feud in a block of flats, a boy trying to flee a farm, atom bombs and ginger roots. Funny and unsettling by turns, it raises unexpected questions.
