Jugurtha : un contre-portrait

Drawing on historical documentation and on fiction, the novel tells the story of Jugurtha, the Numidian leader who fought Rome, and sets out to free him from the dark legend created by Roman historians. Because Sallust is almost the only source on his life and death, and is vague about dates and places, the author fills the gaps with imagination, revealing hidden sides of Jugurtha's epic and the true meaning of his struggle against Rome.
