Segala yang Diisap Langit

Rabiah wants to break the curse said to hang over Minangkabau noble families: that their line ends with the seventh generation. She will do anything to have a daughter who can carry the family name, even become the fifth wife of a man known for fathering daughters. Her greatest obstacle turns out to be her beloved elder brother, Magek, who has joined the Padri movement from the north and now raises his sword against her, ready to destroy everything she has: her wealth, her customs, her family and her past. The novel follows people struggling to survive amid the upheavals of their time.
