K moři

One father founds two families, one after the other, and their members are tied together on paper but strangers to one another in life. In three parts and in spare, clipped sentences that record what people do and leave their feelings unspoken, the book compresses decades of these ordinary lives. Only once do all their paths really meet: on a summer trip to the seaside that happens almost by accident. It is a story about the slow breakdown of relationships and about how hard it is to really reach even the people closest to us.
