나, 나, 마들렌

With Madeleine, the narrator's girlfriend, away, something warm is pressing against the narrator's arm, and the stranger in the bed turns out to be the narrator. The self keeps dividing: one copy goes off to a job at a publisher, another heads to court for Madeleine in her case against a novelist who harassed her. Torn between the two sides, the narrator cannot tell whether this is love or only the idea of it, or where their loyalty lies.
