A novel about Into Konrad Inha, photographer, explorer, nonfiction writer, translator and inventor, a many-sided figure of Finnish art who stayed in the shadow of the painters and composers of its golden age. It follows his artistic work, his loves and his journeys, through collapses and humiliations as well as dazzling successes. Inha turns out to be a desperate suitor who never marries, and he dies lonely and abandoned.
