Czech Republic, January 2018: Miloš Zeman has just been re-elected president, it is freezing outside, citizens pour their hearts out on social media, and the burnt-out commentator Jan 'Johan' Souček is unwillingly leaving the newsroom of an unnamed daily. Shaken by helplessness, rage and fear, he reads a sneering comment under his article and makes one absurd, desperate decision. So begins a darkly grotesque story in which two men from opposite camps of a divided society collide, and the clash between virtual fantasising and real pain, blood and fists drives a tale that moves between satire, horror, psychodrama and road movie, and an existential crisis marked by the fear of nothingness and the urge to escape.
