A bored student, whose name we never learn, describes a life in which watching television is the highlight of the day. He shares a small flat with a roommate he argues with, drinks coffee with his friends Goran and Anita and knows Maša, an artist who lives with ghosts. His happiest memories are of childhood and of his friend and leader Bert, who killed himself after being abused by his father. Then, through Anita's friend Veronika, he is drawn into a world of people with painful pasts and strange views, and is introduced to Bert himself, now rich and charismatic, who stages bizarre gatherings for the city's young.
