الأسوياء

People used to die peacefully and kindly, but since Shahin Allawi was born their ways have changed, and all that remains of their old gentleness is that they avoid telling him he is the only dead man among them. The novel is built in three layers: a writer at work on a novel called The Normal Ones, the normal ones themselves, and a strange tale about a game and the master of that game. Mixing the fantastic with the everyday and sense with nonsense, it keeps breaking the straight line of style and events, and leaves the reader to put its meaning together.
