A narrator, who calls himself a writer, visits two older gay men, Patrycja and Lukrecja, who vie with each other in tales of Wrocław's shabby bars, park benches and Soviet conscripts from the Legnica garrison in the 1970s and 1980s. The second part moves to a gay nudist beach on the Baltic today. Instead of colourful parades there is a world of complexes, shame and simple, mostly unfulfilled dreams, of spa resorts and canteen breakfasts, which the narrator treats with affection rather than spite.
