Kuuleminen

The narrator, comfortable and quite average, wants above all to be noticed and listened to, and so sets about writing letters. A lover, a father, someone owed money and a total stranger receive outpourings of yearning, grievance and homemade art, with confession and flattery in between. Reality intrudes now and then in the shape of a speed-dating evening, a screenwriting course or just a cupboard, and restraint is in short supply.
