A woman is put ashore on a forbidding island where, it seems, one lone man lives, and she is left with him for an unspecified period, reciting pieces of her past. Only then does it become clear that they have been together for a decade and that the stay is a game they invented, meant to take them beyond a limit, free of distractions. Instead come insomnia and accusations, and a harsh, precisely timed experiment pushes them further apart. The graphic novel sets their barbed exchanges among literary quotations, diary extracts, photographs and film stills.
