Edelcrantz förbindelser

Born Clewberg, a poet and the friend and rival of Kellgren, he rises at Gustav III's court, runs its theatre, is ennobled and leaves verse for science, devising an optical telegraph and bringing steam power to Sweden. Around him move writers, officers, scientists, alchemists and actors. Kings change while he stays near power, and the question is what that costs him, and for whom he pays it.
