Ränderna

Commissioned to write a text about an artwork, Magnus Florin settles on an image by the artist M: a pair of children riding in a cart, their figures painted black. The picture brings back something from his own early years and begins a slow excavation towards a buried hurt. Alongside it runs his obsession with stripes, the black and white bands he cannot get away from, which he must learn to cross with two women, M and S, as his guides.
