나를 혐오하게 될 박창수에게

Kim Suk-hui, a woman who has lived at the bottom of society, is under arrest for killing her husband, Kim Jun-su, a steady man who treated her kindly throughout their marriage. The story takes the form of the statement she writes for the detective on the case. In it she goes through her life from the beginning and sets out in detail how she was drawn into the affair tangled up with the killing. What wounds her most is to be told that her life is fine just as it is, or that it counts for something all the same, and from that wound her shame builds towards a quiet explosion. She returns in a companion story; this one is by turns funny, surprising and cruel.
