Huorasatu

Over one autumn, gods blunder into Helsinki and two women, Milla and Kalla, start selling sex; later Kalla takes cleaning jobs and Milla has a baby. Zombies, reincarnations and remarkable beasts mingle with scenes from a women's prison and girls' bedrooms, and with a counter-history of women's origins. Raw and poetic, the book takes on gods, animals and people, the war between the sexes, dress codes, violence, money and the body, siding with everyone mistreated for their species, gender, sexuality or standing.
