Ловецът на русалки

Three novellas about love and rage, set in a small world of villagers who live between two mountains, Mogila and Mogilchitsa, the same world as the author's earlier stories. Mysticism, magical eroticism and drama run through them, eased by the comic scrapes the characters get into as they follow their passions: a man's deadly urge to rule the world, a woman's urge to rule a man, and the urge to be free. The first begins with Bayana, a goatherd, wading half-naked into a fog that has turned the plain below into an imagined ocean, when a stranger in a ragged striped shirt crawls out of it and she carries him up to the village on her back.
