Eksperiment Irene Tot

Irena Tot is past thirty, successful and deeply unhappy with the straight line her life is meant to follow, towards a good job, a wedding and a family. Convinced that people can change, she decides to become someone else: she quits her job, gives up marriage to a kind but unexciting man and a settled life in the countryside, and heads into unemployment and uncertainty, looking for real love and happiness. She takes in a lodger she knows nothing about and becomes involved with a woman, putting up with the stares and silent judgment of those around her. Told in her own voice, her experiment tests whether anyone can shake off their own and other people's prejudices, while she stays tied to a depressed brother, a cold mother and a gentle father.
