A woman lives with her husband's elderly father in an uneasy arrangement: sitting at the same table as him is an ordeal, yet she dreads the day he asks for the family money her husband ran through to be repaid. Then comes a night when the father-in-law, the husband and a neighbour from flat 202 are all out and none of them returns. As the hours pass she waits for them, and the night blurs the lines between the living and the dead.
